RADIO ONLINE | Tuesday, December 12, 2017 |
Semi-retired and former Cumulus/Westwood One Corporate Program Director and former WIVK-FM/Knoxville PD Bob Raleigh has written and released his radio memoirs, "Better Than Digging Ditches (Except The Pay And Benefits Aren't As Good)." It spans fifty years of rubbing elbows with everyone from Walt Disney to Kelsea Ballerini. From Elvis and The Beatles to Brad Paisley and Rascal Flatts. Featured are true inside stories of local and corporate radio are told with a somewhat humorous twist and no-holds barred candor.
During Raleigh's career he worked as an air talent, an award-winning programmer and manager, sold advertising time, oversaw as a Corporate Programmer, consulted or had an influence with over 200 radio stations around the country -- in addition to working with three broadcast networks and three syndicated air personalities. This is the story of his travels. His experiences. And the artists, celebrities, and radio talent that he crossed paths with that had an impact on his life.
"Better Than Digging Ditches (Except The Pay And Benefits Aren't As Good)" is available from Amazon in both a print version and eBook version.
