RADIO ONLINE | Wednesday, March 28, 2018 |
WABC-AM/New York adds Westwood One's syndicated "The Chris Plante Show" to its weekday lineup, debuting Monday, April 2 from 10am-12pm weekdays. The show replaces "The Bernie and Sid Show," which moves to mornings on April 2 as well. Plante, who airs live from WMAL/Washington, DC, is well known to the New York audience, having been assigned to the Pentagon covering the U.S. military and intelligence community for CNN.
"As any school child knows, as a broadcaster, if you could choose one radio station in one market in the English-speaking world, it would be WABC in New York," said Plante. "I'm honored to join the team."
Plante has also received the Edward R. Murrow Award from RTNDA for his reporting from the Pentagon during the terrorist attacks on September 11, 2001.
