Legendary late night talk host Art Bell (Arthur Bell) has died. He passed away on Friday age 72. Bell was best known for his conspiracy theories in the paranormal with the syndicated radio show "Coast to Coast AM" that aired on over 500 outlets until his exit in 2003. The show is now hosted by George Noory. Bell aired on SiriusXM for short time in 2013 and returned to radio in July, 2015, for a three-hour program, "Midnight in the Desert," airing from 10pm-1am PT weeknights on the Dark Matter Digital Network and the digital network TuneIn.
The Nye County Sheriff's Office says Bell died at his home in Pahrump, NV. Bell is scheduled for an autopsy later this week to determine the cause of death. Bell was inducted into the Nevada Broadcasters Association Hall of Fame in 2006 and the National Radio Hall of Fame in 2008.
