WBAL/Baltimore Recognized for Excellence in Broadcast News

WBAL-AM (NewsRadio 1090)/Baltimore has been recognized by the Chesapeake Associated Press Broadcast Awards in two categories at their recent annual awards ceremonies in Ocean City, MD. The station won in the category of Radio Large Market-Outstanding Spot News for coverage of the shooting of Baltimore City Police Detective, Sean Suiter. WBAL was also honored in the category of Radio Large Market-Outstanding Newscast. In both categories, WBAL competited with stations in Baltimore as well as in Washington, DC.
