KOST Announces the Return of Continuous Holiday Music

KOST-FM/Los Angeles has announced the return of its annual continuous holiday music programming, beginning Friday at 5pm PT. The station flip was revealed by KOST morning host Ellen K and was carried out live on the air by afternoon drive host Mark Wallengren. Recording artist Gwen Stefani joined the KOST personalities in-studio to flip the ceremonial switch to Holiday Music and perform some of her own select Christmas Songs from her album "You Make it Feel Like Christmas" live for a small group of contest winners.

iHeartMedia's KOST, billed as "Southern California's official home for the holidays" will air Christmas classics from artists including Barry Manilow, Bing Crosby, Frank and Nat King Cole, and contemporary Christmas songs from Mariah Carey, John Legend and Kelly Clarkson.

"The holiday season in Southern California officially gets underway when KOST 103.5 starts playing holiday favorites and for the 17th consecutive year, KOST 103.5 will provide a festive soundtrack for millions of listeners," said KOST Program Director John Peake. "We are honored to be a part of our listeners family holiday traditions. Last year, KOST 103.5 set a new record reaching more than 5.3 million cheerful listeners every week during the Holiday season and we can't wait to do it again this year."
