Syndicated ''Farm Radio'' Rebranded as ''Farm to Fork''
RADIO ONLINE | Wednesday, December 12, 2018 |
Long-time syndicated "Farm Radio" feature has been rebranded as "Farm to Fork." "We're billing it as a new name for a trusted farm broadcast," said Darrell Anderson, the producer and host of the daily radio feature which airs on a core network of 175 stations in 20 states. "We chose to call it Farm to Fork to reflect the growing connection between farmers and ranchers and the end users of what they produce."
Anderson grew up on a turkey farm, became a radio journalist in 1979, and went on to be a managing partner for two stations in central Minnesota. In 1995, Anderson approached Successful Farming with the idea of a syndicated daily feature and "Successful Farming Radio Magazine" began airing the following January and grew to 133 when, in mid-2017. Anderson then took the show to Farm Journal Media where it became "The Farm Journal Report." This past October 1, the show became independent and was renamed once again.
"We have a relationship with another network on an as-needed basis to assist advertisers who want additional coverage with 317 unique stations across a broader geography," said Anderson. "Advertising is handled in-house."
