Cumulus CHR WWWQ (Q100) Atlanta Rebrands as ''Q99.7''

Cumulus Media rebrands CHR WWWQ-FM/Atlanta to "Q99.7" after being known as "Q100" for the past 18 years. The new moniker is now reflected on-air and online at www.q997atlanta.com and on Amazon Alexa. WWWQ-FM signed on to the air as Q100 in 2001 on the 100.5 FM frequency. By 2008, the station was moved to the stronger, 100kW 99.7 FM frequency. Q99.7 will continue to air a CHR format and to remain the home base for "The Bert Show," syndicated by Westwood One.

VP/Top 40 and Rhythmic Top 40 Louie Diaz said, "Q100 has been one of the most successful Top 40 radio stations in the country, but now is the right time to refresh and rebrand the station as Q99.7 for the current and new generation of listeners. Rebranding Q100 to Q99.7 reflects the simple fact that listeners find the station at 99.7 on the dial. Our transition from Q100 to Q99.7 is now complete."
