Cumulus Media has announced that on Thursday, January 24, its three-time Marconi Award-winning All Sports outlet KTCK (Sportsradio 1310 and 96.7 FM The Ticket) will mark its 25th Anniversary on the air in Dallas-Fort Worth. The Ticket will celebrate the milestone by broadcasting live from "Texas Motor Speedway Ticketstock 25" on Friday, January 25 and Saturday, January 26, at the Plano Events Center in Plano, TX. The free event is open to the public and features live roundtable discussions with hosts from The Ticket, with special live roundtable guest appearances from 6:30-8:00pm Friday by Dallas Cowboys legends Troy Aikman and Jay Novacek.

The Ticket signed on to Dallas-Fort Worth airwaves on January 24, 1994, as DFW's original All Sports station. In the 25 years since, The Ticket has won three NAB Marconi Awards as America's Best Sports Station. The station's fan base of sports radio lovers refers to it as "America's Favorite Station."

Cumulus Media Dallas-Houston Regional VP Dan Bennett said, "The Ticket has blazed a trail for the format across the country with its unique blend of sports talk, lifestyle talk, commentary and comedy delivered by the most outstanding lineup in sports radio. Both The Musers in morning drive and the Hardline in afternoon drive have aired on the station since day one, and the "newcomers" to the station, BaD Radio, Norm Hitzges and Donovan Lewis, joined The Ticket 20 years ago. It is a first in DFW radio to have a station in the same format with the same key on-air talent in all timeslots for 25 consecutive years."

Jeff Catlin, The Ticket's Program Director for the last 16 years and Cumulus DFW Operations Manager, has been with The Ticket since its launch in 1994 and said, "When the Ticket went on the air, the so-called 'experts' said we wouldn't last 6 months. Here we are 25 years later, thanks to the huge ongoing support of our audience and community partners and the dedication, work ethic and talent of our on-air staff and programming and promotions teams. The Ticket is a special place and I feel honored to be the PD here as we celebrate this milestone and share it with everyone who is passionate about The Ticket. We look forward to a great weekend with our listeners."
