Alpha Media, Biloxi - Gulfport mourns the loss of colleague Chuck Edwards who passed away on Wednesday, January 30, 2019, at the age of 49. Chuck began his career on the Mississippi Gulf Coast at Surf 107-1. He later moved on to WCPR to do mornings with Robert James. That show eventually became "The Cruise, Chuck and Rebecca Show" (Kevin Cruise, Chuck Edwards, Rebecca Allen) and was the number one rated show in the market for many years. He was most recently the Production Director for the cluster as well as the PA announcer of the New Orleans Saints and New Orleans Pelicans.

"Chuck was one of the most talented Production guys in the industry who could literally do it all. He had such a wide variety of deliveries and was great at writing copy. He also had the ability to turn on that booming voice that could get any crowd excited as he did at the New Orleans Saints and Pelican's games for so many years. Chuck was loved by so many and will be sorely missed by all of us who had the pleasure to know him," Kenny Vest, operations manager for Alpha Media, remarked.
