Veteran Programmer Shepard Joins Tracy Johnson Media Group

Veteran programmer, talent coach and researcher Mike Shepard joins the Tracy Johnson Media Group. The 30-year programmer most recently served as VP/Programming & Operations for BCA Radio in San Diego, overseeing Sports/Talk XPRS-AM (The Mighty 1090) and Classic Hits XHPRS-FM (105.7 Max FM). Before that, Shepard was OM and Assistant VP/Programming & Operations at then Jefferson Pilot's KSON-FM, KBZT-FM and KIFM-FM/San Diego for 15 years.

Tracy Johnson said, "We've continued to grow the last few years and Mike is a perfect fit. He is a great talent coach, a legendary programmer and well-rounded media strategist. His expertise in multiple formats including Country, Sports Talk and Classic Hits, plus his research skills add depth and value to existing and future clients."

Shepard added, "I've been a huge fan of Tracy and his work for many years and I've seen first hand how his experience, philosophy and unique approach with talent have directly impacted ratings. Shepard has worked with dozens of high profile air talent, including Jack Diamond, Tony and Kris, Scott Kaplan, Bert, Rich "Brother" Robbin, Jack Murphy, and Lee "Hacksaw" Hamilton, among others.

In addition to his role as consultant and talent coach with TJMG, Shepard will continue to own and operate his research company, Shepard Media Research.
