Sun Broadcast Group (SBG) signs a syndication agreement with CONXTREME, a 2-hour mix show featuring Latin Urban. Originating on iHeartMedia's Latino's flagship WZTU-FM (TU 94.9)/Miami. The program, hosted by DJ Xtreme, is a high energy mix show that targets Billenial (bilingual and millennial, young Latinos who live and speak in both a Spanish and English world) radio listeners with artists ranging from Bad Bunny, Drake, Daddy Yankee, Cardi B, J Balvin and Romeo, among others.
"When Alex Quintero reached out about the possibilities of syndicating CONXTREME, I was excited about increasing my national presence and being able to share with different markets what's happening in Latin music. Plus, he's programmed in major markets and has worked in all formats both general and Hispanic and Alex knows the impact opportunity of this genre. The success we've had here in Miami at WZTU FM TU 94.9fm speaks to music not having a language," said DJ Xtreme.
"CONXTREME is not only being added to Tropical/Spanish Hits stations, but Regional Mexican stations are breaking format on the weekends to air the show because they know there's an appetite for this genre of music. And for CHR/Rhythmic stations across the country who may not have the right knowledge of the music but know the impact that Billenial listener have on general market radio, CONXTREME can give their station that extra flare that'll make them sound exclusive to any other station on the weekends," added Quintero.
CONXTREME has already been added on WLAN/Harrisburg, WKIQ/Jacksonville, KOY/Phoenix, WLRS/Louisville, WRLX/West Palm Beach and WNNW/Boston.
