SBS/San Juan Loses ''The Loverboy'' to Heart Attack at 47

Spanish Broadcasting System/San Juan, PR, CEO Raul Alarcon and all its employees are mourning the death of veteran air talent Abdiel Gonzalez Rios (The Loverboy). The well-known announcer died on Thursday, June 20 at the age of 47 years after suffering a massive heart attack. He arrived alone at the Guaynabo Medical hospital and at 3:49am he was pronunced dead. An on-air announcement announcing his passing extolled his career through its stations La Mega 106.9 FM, Play 96.5 FM, Zeta 93FM, La Nueva 94FM and MegaTV.

His co-host on "El Jukeo de Play 96.5FM," Joel "Intruder" Santiago, said, "Today I had decided that I was not going to the station to carry out the program because I still do not I realized that my partner and brother will not be with me, but Abdiel's father insisted that I do it and that he express me on behalf of the family." He urged the audience to value and celebrate life and that people try to always highlight the good things, especially with family, co-workers and friends.
