RADIO ONLINE | Wednesday, July 10, 2019 |
Alpha Media/Amarillo, TX, announces the addition of "WE 102.9" to KVWE-FM. Grey Television owned the station previously known as KEYU. The former Spanish Hits outlet flips to Rhythmic CHR and debuts on July 11. The station will be programmed by newly-hired Operations Manager Keith Curry. Curry previously worked at WSNX/Grand Rapids, WKFR/Kalamazoo, WDKS/Evansville, WDRQ/Detroit and most recently 105.3 The Beat/Miami.
Alpha Media Executive VP Content/Programming Phil Becker commented, "Hip-Hop is the most consumed music in the world and one that our company is passionate about and believes in. The addition of WE 102.9 to our Amarillo cluster gives us the ability to offer our advertisers a new demographic and puts us in a great position to continue to be the market's most listened to radio operators."
Curry added, "I'm thrilled to be joining Alpha Media and am excited about offering a more compelling hip-hop option to the market. Thank you to Phil Becker and Melissa Kibbler for believing in me. WE are about to do big things."
