Jay Hicks Named Program Director of WPGC/Washington DC

Entercom appoints Jay Hicks as Program Director for heritage Rhythmic CHR WPGC-FM/Washington, DC, effective September 16. He joins the company from Buffalo where he served as Brand Manager for WBLK-FM and WBUF-FM. Prior to that, Hicks was Program Director for WGPR-FM and WHTD-FM (Hot 102.7)/Detroit and WQHH-FM/Lansing, MI. He's also served as Assistant PD/MD at Urban AC WVAZ-FM (V-103)/Chicago.

"From the beginning, we were seeking a creative visionary with an appreciation for WPGC's rich history in the D.C. market," said , Entercom/Washington, DC, Senior VP/Market Manager Phil Zachary. "Jay pays respect to the station's past while clearly comprehending the present competitive landscape in one of America's most spirited urban radio battles. He's ideally suited to lead our veteran air staff."
