Cumulus Flips KQFC-FM/Boise to Soft AC as ''Magic 97.9''

Cumulus flips Country KQFC-FM/Boise to Soft AC as "Magic 97.9," with the slogan "playing a wide variety of music for adults from the past five decades." With the move, 25-year veteran programmer Lisa Adams is named the new PD. This marks a return to Boise for Adams, who previously served as Operations Manager/PD for crosstown Townsquare Media. Most recently, Adams was PD for Hubbard Radio's KNUC-FM/Seattle. She's also programmed KLCK-FM, KQMV-FM and KYPT-FM/Seattle as well as KXJM-FM/Portland, OR.
Cumulus/Boise Regional VP/Market Manager Don Morin said, "We are so fortunate to launch a new format with a veteran programmer like Lisa at the helm. Her experience and knowledge of the market and format puts us in the position to win right out of the gate."
Adams commented, ""I'm incredibly excited and blessed to start my new radio chapter back in a town I love and missed so much! And suddenly you know.It's time to start something new and trust the magic of beginnings."
