Entercom Names Bob Mackay as SVP/MM for Austin Market


Bob Mackay has been named Senior Vice President and Market Manager for Entercom Austin, effective January 27. In this role, he will have oversight of Majic 95.5 (KKMJ-FM), Mix 94.7 (KAMX-FM), Talk Radio 1370 (KJCE-AM), and The New Hot 95.9 (KKMJ-HD3). Mackay was previously General Sales Manager for Entercom Houston.

"Bob has earned the trust and respect of his teams and clients alike and we are thrilled he is remaining at Entercom," said Brian Purdy, Regional President, Entercom. "As General Sales Manager he delivered outstanding results and we are excited for him to bring his energy and drive to Austin."

Prior to joining Entercom, Mackay was President of Marsades Media which provides audio and digital marketing and sales solutions to clients that included Comcast and Entravision Media. His extensive radio industry career includes stints with Radio One Houston as Director of Sales, Cox Radio as General Sales Manager, Emmis Communications as Vice President and Director of Sales and Clear Channel. He currently serves as a board member of the Houston chapter for the American Advertising Federation and on the advisory board for the Black Chamber of Commerce.
