Because you can just never have too much pumpkin spice in your world, Ithaca's WYXL-FM Lite Rock 97.3FM is flipping format this fall to become "Pumpkin Spice Radio!"
"People talk about the beauty of the autumn in Ithaca. Everyone loves the taste of those delicious pumpkin spice flavored donuts and drinks so we decided to change the ‘sound' of fall by bringing ‘Pumpkin Spice Radio' to Lite Rock," said Dave Ashton, Program Director and Brand Manager. "The sound is sweet, with a dash of spicy."
"Pumpkin Spice on Lite Rock is a great way to start your day, and it's also a great pick me up in the afternoon," added Jen Mattison, co-host of the Dave and Jen Morning Show and Afternoon Driver. "When the weather gets cooler and the days get shorter, there's nothing like it!"
"Whereas holiday music seems to hit the airwaves earlier and earlier, ‘Pumpkin Spice Radio' on Lite Rock, like its delicious counterpart, will only be here for a limited time," said Alex Bergman, Marketing Director at Cayuga Radio. "So if you like the Spice Girls, California Dreamin' (all the leaves are brown) by the Mamas and the Papas, Smashing Pumpkins and more, you'll love it!"
