Summit Media Brings ''Awesome 93.1'' to Knoxville

SummitMedia has relaunched WNOX as "Awesome 93.1" in Knoxville playing "Totally 80s and More." Core artists include Madonna, Journey, Duran Duran and Michael Jackson, as well as a handful of select hits from the 90s. It replaces the former Classic Hit format. Also new to the Knoxville market is syndicated Ace & TJ Show airing 6-10am weekdays.

"Our consumers want and need an escape and that's what this new station delivers," said Randy Chase, Summit's EVP of Programming. "From Gen X'ers to Millennials, we know that these songs will recall great memories. Plus, Ace & TJ have incredible energy and content that perfectly suits SummitMedia Knoxville."
