Audacy/Gainesville Ups Rothfuss to SVP/Market Manager

Audacy promotes Peter Rothfuss to Senior Vice President and Market Manager for its Gainesville-Ocala market, effective June 1. In this role, Rothfuss will oversee WKTK-FM (98.5 KTK), Country WRUF-FM (103.7 The Gator), WSKY-FM (97.3 The Sky) and WRUF-AM (98.1 FM/850 AM ESPN). Rothfuss previously served as the market's General Sales Manager since 2016. He succeeds Dick O'Neil, who announced his retirement, effective May 31.

"Peter's experience in this market, coupled with his proven track record of success leading sales efforts will allow him to seamlessly expand his role and continue the momentum we have achieved," said Audacy Regional President Claudia Menegus. Prior to Gainesville-Ocala, Rothfuss had two stints with Audacy/Wilkes Barre in which he served as an Integrated Marketing Specialist (2014-2016) and Director of Sales (2010-2013). Rothfuss also previously held a Sales Manager position for Townsquare Media (2013-2014), and was the Chief Operating Officer for The Advertising Agency in Winter Park, FL (2004-2009), Account Executive and Local Sales Manager for Post Newsweek's CBS affiliate WKMG in Orlando (2001-2004), Sales Manager for Saber Communications in Williamsport, PA (1995-1995) and Account Executive for Keymarket (1987-1995).
