25-Year Veteran Radio Broadcaster Nick Cash Dead at 56

Sad to report the death of veteran radio broadcaster Nick Cash (aka Richard Szost), who passed away last week at age 56 at his home in Hickory, NC. Cash spent more than 25 years in the radio business, including over eight as Brand Manager and afternoon host at iHeartMedia's Country KHGE-FM (102.7 The Wolf)/Fresno. He also handled Brand Manager duties with co-owned Sports KCBL-FM (FOX Sports Radio 1340) and Religious Talk KRDU.

Most recently, Cash werved as Operations Manager for Curtis Media Group's cluster in Lenoir, NC and morning host of Country WKVS-FM (Kicks 103.3) until he left in February. Before that he worked as OM of Townsquare Media's cluster in Killeen, TX. His previous stints included OM of Citadel Broadcasting and Cumulus Media in Reno, NV and Program Director for Citadel in Knoxville, TN.

He is survived by an adult daughter, Leann Szost of Dallas. His family is planning a private service in Dunnellon.
