Cumulus/Savannah Ups Gary Shelton to Operations Manager

Cumulus Media/Savannah, GA elevates Gary Shelton (aka DJ Rax) to Operations Manager for Urbam WEAS-FM (E93), Urban AC WTYB-FM (Magic 103.9), Country WJCL-FM (Kix 96) and Classic Rock WIXV-FM (I-95). He's served as Program Director of Magic 103.9 and E93 since 2018 and will continue to program those stations. A veteran Savannah personality, DJ Rax will also continue to be heard on E93 in afternoons, airing weekdays from 3-7pm.

DJ Rax brings more than 25 years' experience to his new role as Operations Manager. He was previously Program Director of KXHT-FM in Memphis and Operations Manager for URBan Radio Broadcasting's three Mississippi stations WMSU-FM, WACR-FM and WAJV-FM. He's also been heard on stations in Dallas and New Orleans.

Cumulus Savannah VP/Market Manager Eric Mastel said, "This is an extremely well-earned promotion for DJ Rax. He was quick to step up and fill in when we needed an interim leader for the Operations Manager position in Savannah this past year. He is a tenured and experienced professional and is most deserving of this promotion."

DJ Rax added, "I have enjoyed these past several months serving as Interim Operations Manager and working with the amazing Cumulus Savannah team in that capacity.
