Audacy Launches ''La Mega 102.3'' on WMQX/Wilkes Barre

Audacy flips Classic Hits WMQX (Max 102.3)/Wilkes Barre-Scranton PA to Spanish Tropical as "La Mega 102.3." WMQX will add Premiere-synidcated "Enrique Santos Show" to mornings, while airing James El Bandido in middays and Alcantara as afternoon host. The station is also simulcasting on WODS (1300) in West Hazleton, which drops its simulcast with News/Talk WILK-FM/Avoca.

"The Hispanic population is growing in Northeast Pennsylvania, and this launch represents a significant step in our commitment to serving our local listeners and clients," said Audacy Wilkes Barre Senior VP and Market Manager Ryan Flynn. "I would like to thank everyone for their hard work and long hours it took to get this brand up and running. We can't wait to give the very best of the Hispanic CHR format to our community."

The station will be led by Brand Manager Jonathan Alcantara. He started his radio careerin New England working on Power 102.9, Impacto 1490AM and La Mega de Boston. In 2020, he came to Northeast PA and launched La Mega 95.
