KYW/Philadelphia has inducted two members into its Hall of Fame: longtime reporter and anchor Lynne Adkins and anchor Brandon Brooks. The inductees, nominated and elected by the current KYW Newsradio staff, join other distinct Hall of Famers, including NBC News' Andrea Mitchell and longtime Suburban Bureau Chief Jay Lloyd.

"This honor is long overdue for these two inductees who have devoted over three decades of their lives to being reliable news sources for the Philadelphia region," said Audacy Philadelphia Senior Vice President and Market Manager David Yadgaroff. "Not only has their professionalism set a high standard for our content, but their extensive backgrounds have taught the next generation of KYW Newsradio broadcasters to aspire to a new level."

Adkins spent 34 years as an anchor, reporter and mentor at KYW Newsradio. She developed her radio chops as an Assistant News Director and talk host at WMGK, WPEN, WFIL and WIP. Adkins also held the News Director post for WXTU and WHYY in Philadelphia, WCOJ in Coatesville and WBUX in Levittown, PA. She began her career at Temple University over three decades ago. Adkins is credited with using her well-rounded expertise to guide young journalists as they navigate the ins and outs of the newsroom.

Brooks was the voice of news in Philadelphia for more than 30 years. He first came to KYW Newsradio as a part-time anchor and reporter in 1989. Later, he joined the team full-time in 1993, primarily anchoring afternoon drive but filling in on weekday and weekend mornings on CBS-3. During his tenure at KYW, he pioneered the classic segment "Rewind," which became a daily favorite in Philadelphia and syndicated by CBS Radio.

He began his career in West Chester, PA in 1972. After stops in Myrtle Beach, SC and Wilmington, DE, he anchored afternoon drive at Philadelphia's WPEN in the 1970s before working as a news writer at WCAU-TV in Philadelphia in the early 1980s. Following a stint as a television anchor in Altoona, PA and Albany, NY, he returned home to the Philadelphia airwaves for good in the early 1990s. Like his fellow inductee, Brooks also provided mentorship to youth in the field.
