Westwood One and the National Football League hosted the "Power of Partnership" on Thursday, a virtual chat with NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell, Westwood One President Suzanne Grimes and Westwood One play-by-play announcer Ian Eagle, live from NFL headquarters in New York City. The conversation, hosted by Eagle, discussed Westwood One's 50-plus-year partnership with the NFL and celebrated audio as an integral part of the NFL ecosystem.

Attended by the advertising community, the program touted the power of audio, specifically for sports play-by-play with some key takeaways:

  • Goodell called the NFL on Westwood One a robust nation-wide platform, helping to reach different fans all over the United States.

  • Goodell and Grimes spoke to the scale of the Westwood One audience with 56 million unique listeners and the myriad distribution platforms where fans can listen free, including more than 500 local terrestrial radio stations and their digital streams, westwoodonesports.com, channel 88 on Sirius XM, and on the NFL App which now offers Dynamic Ad Insertion to advertisers. Information on where to listen to the NFL on Westwood One is here.

  • Eagle spoke to the power of connecting with NFL fans while calling a game and using the game as a backdrop to bring advertiser's messaging to life through live reads.

Westwood One is the network radio partner of the NFL, with play-by-play coverage of the National Football League's entire primetime regular season, as well as every postseason game. This year marks the 37th consecutive season Westwood One is the network radio partner of the NFL, and the 51st time the network will broadcast the Super Bowl to a national audience.
