The National Association of Broadcasters (NAB), in collaboration with Hispanic media groups and organizations, has announced a coalition focused on get out the vote (GOTV) efforts for the Hispanic community. The nonpartisan coalition consisting of 13 organizations is dedicated to increasing voter registration and voter turnout in the Hispanic community for the 2024 national elections.

Participating media groups and organizations include Bustos Media, Entravision Communications, Epluribus LLC -- creators of MOXY, Estrella Media, La Red Hispana, LatinEQUIS, Latino Media Network, Lazer Media, Meruelo Media, National Association of Broadcasters, Telemundo, Poderistas and TelevisaUnivision.

Hispanics are the second-largest racial or ethnic group in the U.S. and trust Hispanic media outlets to deliver information accurately and fairly whether in English, Spanish or a bilingual format. This coalition, which is expected to grow and expand as the election season progresses, brings together a powerful network of Hispanic media outlets and other key stakeholders to collaborate, discuss strategies and share resources to effectively mobilize Hispanic voters.

"Broadcasters play a crucial role in empowering and educating voters," said NAB President and CEO Curtis LeGeyt. "This unprecedented coalition reinforces our commitment to the Hispanic community and to the Hispanic media companies and organizations that serve all segments of the Hispanic community. Through this coalition, we aim to collaborate and share resources that will educate, motivate and equip Hispanics to participate in the electoral process. NAB is proud to lead this effort that elevates the importance of the Hispanic vote and encourages Hispanic voters to make their voices heard."

In collaboration with the member media groups and organizations, the coalition will develop and utilize a digital election toolkit that will include messaging, talking points, voter education materials, best practices and creative assets to help members inform and encourage their bilingual, Hispanic audiences to register to vote and engage in the 2024 elections.
