Alpha Media flips KHAR (590) and K244EG (96.7) in Anchorage from CBS Sports to music based Adult Standards. The new station will be known as "Alaska's Gold Rush Radio" and will feature four decades of the greatest hits of all time with a special blend of Pop, Soft AC, R&B and Easy Listening. The format will be music intensive, featuring imaging versus traditional announcers.

Market Manager Nikki Hilton said, "We are excited to bring this format to Anchorage, it brings back memories for all of us here at KHAR and will connect with those listeners who want a feel good, safe listening experience."

Program Director Joe Campbell added, "I am excited to bring back music that is not heard anywhere else in Anchorage and for the escape Gold Rush radio will offer listeners from the hustle & bustle of the daily information overload"
