Neversink Media's WALL-AM/Middleton and WPDH-HD2 (WALL Radio)/Poughkeepsie have announced the retirement of afternoon drive host Jim Frey, effective Friday May 24. Chase Daniels assumes PM drive on May 27. With his radio career spanning back to 1969, Frey manned the mic at ten stations across the Hudson Valley and the Southern U.S. Having spent 12 years on WALL Radio from 1972-84, Frey returned back to WALL in January, 2016 hosting afternoons.

"In the beginning, I asked Neversink Media Group owner Bud Williamson what he wanted me to do, and he said, 'just be Frey.' So, what I did was all my own, and I hope our listeners enjoyed it as much as I did. It's been such a huge privilege," said Frey.

Frey says he'll still be available to cover vacation time for the current WALL air staff.
