iHeartMedia appoints Larry "Yako" Calderon Jr. as Program Director of CHR WHYI-FM (Y100) in Miami, effective immediately. He replaces Taylor Jukes who was promoted to Senior Vice President of Programming for iHeartMedia in San Diego. Yako brings over 25 years of broadcast radio experience, having worked in major East Coast markets such as New York, Miami, Orlando, Philadelphia and Boston. For the past seven years, he's served as the Music Director for co-owned Spanish CHR WZTU (Tu 94.9).

"I've known Yako for many years and have seen his professional growth first-hand," said Senior Vice President of Programming PJ Gonzalez. "His deep knowledge of the vibrant Miami culture, and his passion for the CHR pop format, makes him the ideal candidate for this role."

"I'm thrilled to embark on this new journey with this legendary CHR station," said Calderon Jr. "As a long-time, passionate fan of both Y100 and pop music, I can't wait to bring my energy and love for the brand to the forefront and make an impact on Miami's music scene."
