iHeartMedia Cleveland Debut the New ''Throwback 99.1''

iHeartMedia Cleveland flips News W256BT (Black Information Network) to the new "Throwback 99.1," effective immediately. The new format will air the best throwback songs from the 90's and 2000's, including music from artists including Usher, Mariah Carey, Dr. Dre, Nelly, Eminem and more. The station will also local veteran personalities LeeAnn Sommers in mornings and Allen Colon in afternoons and launches with 10,000 songs in a row commercial free.

"Throwback is more than just the name of the station; it's a cultural touchstone that celebrates the artists and anthems that were the soundtrack of a generation," said iHeartMedia Cleveland Market President Keith Hotchkiss. "Clevelanders who grew up with this music have fond memories of the stations and personalities that brought the music to the masses, and we're bringing it back on 99.1."

Black Information Network programming previously heard on 99.1 is now available on 101.1 FM.
