Billy DiMaio, a 25-year-old Account Executive at Audacy in New York, was tragically killed in the Bourbon Street attack on January 1, when a man drove a truck into a crowd celebrating the new year. Fourteen people lost their lives in this horrific incident.

DiMaio, remembered by his family as a deeply family-oriented individual, cherished the time he spent with relatives. He had a tattoo that proudly displayed the names of all his cousins, highlighting his commitment to family. "He put his family first, and his friends meant the whole world to him," his parents shared with NOLA.com.

During his college years at Chestnut Hill College in Philadelphia, Billy excelled as the captain of the lacrosse team. He also devoted time to training younger players in the sport, according to his father, Bill DiMaio. After completing his undergraduate degree, he went on to earn a master's degree in business in 2022.

DiMaio joined Audacy in 2023 and had recently been promoted within the National Enterprise & Direct Response Team. An Audacy spokesperson expressed the company's profound sorrow over his loss: "We are heartbroken to learn of the passing of Billy DiMaio. Beyond his professional accomplishments, Billy will be remembered for his unwavering work ethic, positive attitude, and kindness. He was a true asset to our team, and his contributions and presence will be deeply missed."

The company, along with DiMaio's colleagues, extends their deepest sympathies to his family and friends during this challenging time, underscoring the profound impact of his loss on the Audacy community.
