SMG/New York Appoints Laura Sheaffer as General Manager

Salem Media Group promotes Laura Sheaffer to General Manager of WNYM-AM (970 The Answer), WMCA-AM (570 The Mission) and Salem Surround in New York. Sheaffer, who has served the New York market for the past decade, most recently as General Sales Manager, steps into the role previously held by Jerry Crowley. Her promotion comes as part of a broader strategy to strengthen leadership within the company's key markets.

Salem Media Group Senior Vice President Jeff Reisman praised Sheaffer's commitment and leadership qualities. "Laura's proven track record, competitive spirit, and passion to excel, coupled with her knack for bringing out the best in people, have all contributed to her earning this opportunity," said Reisman. He added, "Her strong commitment to our mission is poised to drive our continued success in New York."

Sheaffer expressed her enthusiasm for the challenges ahead. "After working closely with Jerry Crowley and the talented team here for a decade, I am honored to step up as the next General Manager," she stated. Sheaffer also highlighted her commitment to building on the stations' momentum and delivering impactful programming through both terrestrial and digital platforms.
