WTEM-AM/Washington DC Names Matt Cahill as Brand Manager

Audacy promotes Matt Cahill to Brand Manager of WTEM-AM (The Team 980) in the nation's capital. In his new role, Cahill will be responsible for guiding the station's content strategy, talent management, operations and branding efforts. He will also maintain his current posts as Assistant Brand Manager of WJFK-FM (106.7 The Fan) and Executive Morning Show Producer.

Audacy Washington DC Senior Vice President and Market Manager Ivy Savoy-Smith expressed confidence in Cahill's abilities, citing his creative approach, passion for sports, and commitment to brand development. "Matt's track record and dedication to fostering a positive working environment are well recognized. We are eager to see him apply his leadership to expand the station's reach both internally and externally," said Savoy-Smith.

Reacting to his new appointment, Cahill shared his enthusiasm and vision for the station's future. "It is an honor to lead The Team 980 and build on its rich legacy. Cahill has been with 106.7 The Fan since 2007, assuming various roles, including that of Executive Producer for the popular "The Sports Junkies" morning show since 2012. His career in radio began at CBS Radio Phoenix in 2006, showcasing a lengthy and diverse experience in the industry before his most recent promotions at Audacy.
