Woodward Communications, Inc. (WCI) has announced a series of leadership appointments within its broadcast division, Woodward Community Media, as the company moves to bolster its operations in Northeast Wisconsin and Springfield, Illinois.
B.J. DeGroot (pictured) is named Market Manager for Woodward's Northeast Wisconsin stations, expanding his responsibilities from his current role as Brand Manager for WHBY and The Score. In his new position, DeGroot will oversee six radio brands in the region: 105.7 WAPL, 95.9 Kiss FM, WHBY, Razor 94.7 & 104.7, 104.3 The Fuse, and 95.3 & 99.1 The Score.
"Leading the entire portfolio of Woodward Community Media stations in Northeast Wisconsin is a significant honor," said DeGroot. "I'm committed to working with our talented local teams to continue delivering relevant content and strengthening our connection with the community."
The company also confirmed that Kelly Radandt, who was appointed Director of Broadcast in November 2024, will now oversee operations in both Northeast Wisconsin and Springfield, IL. Radandt stepped into the role following WCI's acquisition of Neuhoff Media in Springfield and the subsequent acquisition of Mid-West Family Springfield, which closed April 1. She had previously served as General Manager for Woodward Community Media in the Oshkosh, Appleton, and Green Bay markets.
"This expanded role presents a unique opportunity to unify our broadcast efforts and innovate across markets," said Radandt. "I am eager to contribute to Woodward Community Media's continued success and evolution. Onward!"
Both DeGroot and Kevin O'Dea, Market Manager for the Springfield cluster, will report to Radandt.
"These promotions reflect our commitment to developing strong leadership within Woodward Community Media," said Tom Woodward, President and CEO of WCI. "Kelly and B.J. have consistently shown strong leadership and dedication. We expect their new roles to drive continued success for our broadcast divisions and reinforce our standing as a leading media organization in the communities we serve."
The leadership changes take effect on July 1.
