Mentoring and Inspiring Women in Radio (MIW) has announced the launch of its third annual Speak Up! Mentorship Program in partnership with Media Staffing Network. The application period for the year-long initiative opens today and will remain open through Friday, July 18.

The Speak Up! program was established in memory of Laurie Kahn (pictured), the late founder of Media Staffing Network and a passionate advocate for women in the broadcast industry. Designed specifically for women working in small to medium radio markets-regardless of department -- the program offers personalized coaching and professional mentorship from a network of seasoned female executives and certified coaches.

"MIW is proud to continue honoring Laurie Kahn's legacy through the Speak Up! program," said MIW Board President Sheila Kirby. "Each year, we have the opportunity to support emerging female leaders and help them find their voice and path to growth in our industry. This program represents the very heart of our mission."

Lisa Fields, President of Media Staffing Network, added, "Laurie believed deeply in supporting women's professional development, and Speak Up! is a powerful reflection of that vision. We are thrilled to partner with MIW again and look forward to working with this year's mentee to help her build confidence, expand her network, and reach her full potential."

Previous recipients of the mentorship include Jessica Williams, National Adult Contemporary Host and Community Outreach Director for Townsquare Media/Rochester, MN (2024), and Mary Zukin, Senior Sales & Marketing Executive at Iliad Media Group, ID (2023).
