iHeartMedia Austin's KVET (1300 The Zone), the flagship station for University of Texas sports, is teaming up with the 3rd & Longhorn football show to deliver expanded coverage of the Texas Longhorns' 2025 season, including a new postgame program.

Debuting this fall, The 3rd & Longhorn Postgame Show will air live on 1300 The Zone immediately after every Longhorns football game. The program will feature in-depth analysis, insider perspectives, and fan interaction, anchored by former Longhorn players and football insiders who bring firsthand knowledge of the game and the program.

"We're excited to partner with the team at 3rd & Longhorn," said Bryan Erickson, Program Director at 1300 The Zone. "With so many lifetime Longhorns on their roster, 3rd & Longhorn provides unparalleled coverage with keen insight and game analysis from guys who played the game at the highest level. Adding The 3rd & Longhorn Postgame Show to the station's existing coverage makes 1300 The Zone the most comprehensive and robust destination for Texas Longhorns fans."

The collaboration is designed to deepen the connection between Longhorns fans and their team by offering immediate and passionate reactions after each game. Listeners can expect expert breakdowns, player interviews, live call-ins, and more.

"We are fired up for 3rd & Longhorn to join forces with 1300 The Zone this season," said Derrick Johnson, former Texas linebacker and co-host of 3rd & Longhorn. "There's nothing better than talking Texas football with Longhorn Nation right after the game, and teaming up with iHeart with its unmatched reach gives us an even bigger stage to bring that energy, insight, and passion to fans every game day."
