iHeartMedia Minneapolis Names Rich Davis as SVP/P

iHeartMedia appoints Rich Davis as Senior Vice President of Programming for Minneapolis and Program Director of KEEY-FM (K102.1), effective immediately. Davis, who has served as Program Director for KDWB since 2016, brings extensive experience from previous programming roles with iHeartMedia in Seattle and Nashville. He succeeds longtime programmer Gregg Swedberg, who will transition to a new strategic advisor role with the company.
Swedberg's new position will focus on assisting with iHeartCountry projects while continuing to support the Minneapolis team during the leadership transition. "I'm looking forward to having the unique opportunity to help lots of stations in iHeartCountry and assisting Rich and Chad with this transition," said Swedberg. "I can't wait for Nashville to embrace Rich, which I know they will. The iHeart Minneapolis team will just keep on winning."
Reflecting on his promotion, Davis said, "When I first got to KDWB in 1997, I never dreamed I'd one day get the chance to take over for the legendary Gregg Swedberg. I hope to make him proud and continue our success with these amazing teams and brands in the Twin Cities."
