Traffic service Skywatch Traffic has filed suit against Cumulus Media and its five FM stations in Nashville, accusing the company of breach of contract reports the Nashville Post. The suit claims Cumulus dropped Skywatch when Sports WNFN-FM changed formats in July, 2009, to CHR as "i106" and then went with a competitor, Westwood One's Metro Traffic.
Skywatch alleges that Cumulus violated the terms of the contract because it was not supposed to work with competing traffic services during the term of the deal and yet had a "business relationship" with Westwood One during the term of the relationship.
The company is seeking unspecified damages.
