Great Western Radio to Acquire KWRP/Pueblo CO


Great Western Radio Ltd., led by longtime Pueblo, CO, native Mike Hernandez (aka Buzz Corona) has agreed to purchase 250W Oldies KWRP-FM (690) Pueblo, Colorado along with two translators at K262BB (100.3 FM) Boone, CO and K230BZ (93.9 FM) Fowler, CO, from United States CP Llc. The deal is now pending FCC approval. The agreement also formally ends the SOCO Radio lease of the Pueblo stations from Unites States CP.

"This is where I am from -- my parents are here and I'm getting too old to jump around -- not that old but I'm happy to bring live and local radio to my hometown," said Hernandez.
