Cumulus to Return 99X to the Atlanta Airwaves

Cumulus is returning 99X to the Atlanta airwaves on Friday, April 17 under 99X.com PD BJ Kinard. The Alternative format has been airing on a HD2 channel and on the web at 99X.com since co-owned WWWQ-FM (Q100) took its frequency at 99.7 in January, 2008. 99X will now be heard on FM translator W250BC at 97.9 in Riverdale, GA, with only 250 watts, but a height of 1000 feet.
The on-air signal will be branded "99X at 97.9" and no changes are expected. 99X will continue to run jockless in mornings, followed by Lewis (middays), Kinard (afternoons) and Jillian (nights).
