iHM/Seattle Names Rich Davis VP/P, KBKS PD

iHeartMedia/Seattle appoints Rich Davis as VP/Programming and Program Director for CHR KBKS-FM (106.1 KISS-FM), effective immediately. In this new post, he'll oversee all programming operations for Seattle's seven stations. Davis joins the Seattle cluster from co-owned CHR KDWB-FM/Minneapolis, where he served as Program Director since December, 2011 and PD of Cities 97 since August, 2013. In addition, Davis was previously OM of iHM's five-station cluster in Nashville from 2007-2011 and PD of WRVW-FM (107.5 The River).

"It's no secret that Seattle is a very challenging market, but there is one thing that hasn't changed and that is our team's absolute focus on winning. Rich is a very intelligent and driven person whose determination and track record of success is on a different level," said iHM Senior VP/Programming Andrew Jeffries. "Rich is a huge asset to the iHeartMedia team-it's evident he's ready for the next step in his career, and I'm beyond happy that is with us Seattle."

"Rich is a gifted programmer and leader with a proven track record of building brands that listeners are both passionate about and loyal to," added Market President Kent Haehl. "Seattle is an extremely competitive market, but I'm confident Rich will thrive and I am thrilled to have him as a new member of our leadership team."

"We have an enormous opportunity in Seattle and I look forward working with our teams to grow our brands," said Davis. "Thanks to Hartley Adkins, Andrew Jeffries and Kent Haehl for this next step in my career with iHeartMedia as well as the talented teams in Minneapolis."

Prior to Nashville, Davis held programming positions in Madison, Baltimore, Allentown and Philadelphia.
