RADIO ONLINE | Thursday, February 18, 2016 |
Elvis Duran, host of the syndicated "Elvis Duran and the Morning Show," will host the 2016 Golden Mike Award on February 29 in New York honoring iHeartMedia Chairman/CEO Bob Pittman. In addition, NPR President/CEO Jarl Mohn and iHeartMedia Entertainment Enterprises President John Sykes will join the program as presenters, and Country music's newest breakout artist Cam will provide entertainment. The annual black-tie gala is a major fundraiser for the Broadcasters Foundation of America.
During the evening, the Dick Clark Lifetime Achievement Award will be presented to legendary broadcaster Charles Osgood, the Emmy Award winning anchor of CBS "Sunday Morning."
The Broadcasters Foundation has distributed millions of dollars in aid to broadcasters who have lost their livelihood through a catastrophic event, debilitating disease, or unforeseen tragedy. Donations can be made to the Foundation's Guardian Fund and corporate contributions are accepted through the Angel Initiative.
