Zipwhip Partners with CBS Radio for Better Texting
RADIO ONLINE | Wednesday, September 21, 2016 |
CBS Radio has entered a partnership with texting provider Zipwhip which will now work with 39 CBS stations over 15 major markets including New York and Los Angeles. The objective is making engagement with CBS Radio listeners easier by making it possible for listeners and on-air staff to engage in two-way SMS/MMS text conversations on existing studio call-in numbers.
This way stations can provide listeners the ability to text or call on the same landline or toll-free number - a desirable alternative to texting on separate short codes of five or six digits.
