Stratton Radio Broadcasting to Acquire WOKR-AM/Canandaigua

Stratton Radio Broadcasting, headed by Timothy Stratton of Scottsdale, AZ, has agreed to purchase 1kW Country WOKR-AM (1310) and its FM translator W238DG (95.5)/Canandaigua, NY, from Genesee Media for $250,000. WOKR also puts a distant signal into Rochester, NY, and covers Ontario, Monroe & Wayne counties. Stratton is an attorney with the Phoenix firm of Gust-Rosenfeld specializing in Public Finance and Tax Law. He is also the new owner of WYLF-AM & FM/Penn Yan, NY.

WOKR is currently owned by Genesee Media -- Brian Me Glynn, based in Rochester, NY and Montreal, Canada.

Kozacko Media Services brokered the deal for the buyer and seller.
