SiriusXM Q1 Net Revenue Rises 5% to $2.06 Billion

Liberty Media's SiriusXM reported first quarter net revenue rose 5% to $2.06 billion from $1.95 billion in 2020. Adjusted EBITDA rose 7% to $682 million from $682 million. SiriusXM saw self-pay net subscriber additions of 126,000, an increase of 83% year-over-year. The company posted a net income of $219 million (5 cents per diluted share) as compared to $293 million in the year-ago period.
"SiriusXM started the year off strong with growing trial starts and impressively low churn. They continued to repurchase stock and Liberty's ownership is now over 77%," said Liberty President and CEO Greg Maffei.
