Blue Ridge Acquires Wytheville VA Outlets for $495,000

Blue Ridge Media Partners has agreed to acquire long held properties from Three Rivers Media in Wytheville, VA for $495,000. Three Rivers bought their first station WXBX-AM in Rural Retreat, VA in August, 1998 and followed by the purchase of WYVE-AM in Wytheville, VA in September, 1998. A third, WXBX-AM in Rural Retreat, was later acquired as well as two FM translators for the two AM's. Three Rivers is comprised of President James J. Brown and associates, Gary Hagerich and Anthony Accamando Jr.

Blue Ridge Media Partners, a North Carolina corporation is headed by President Charles "Chuck" Marsh. Marsh is also the President of Alamance Media Partners Inc. that owns WSML-AM, WFMR-AM and WPCM-AM with their respective translators W236BO, W283CV and W232DT. All of the stations are included within the Greensboro-Winston-Salem-High Point radio market.

Dick Kozacko of Kozacko Media Services brokered the deal.
