VCY America Closes on WJBR (Mix 99.5) in Wilmington DE

VCY America has closed on its previously announced acquisition of 50kW AC WJBR (Mix 99.5) in Wilmington, DE to from Beasley Media Group for $5 million. The transaction gives VCY America a signal that covers not only Wilmington, but puts a city grade signal in Philadelphia. WJBR-FM was Beasley's only station in Wilmington market. However it owns a seven-station cluster in nearby Philadelphia. The new call sign after closing will be WVCW-FM.

Michael J. Bergner of Bergner & Co. was brokered the transaction.
