Dyana Williams Joins Classix 107.9/Philly for Afternoons

40-year media veteran Dyana Williams will host a new afternoon show on Radio One's Classic R&B WPPZ-FM (Classix 107.9) Philadelphia. "Afternoon Delight with Dyana Williams" will premiere on Monday, July 15 and air weekdays from 3-7pm. Williams is also the co-host of "Souful Sunday" on co-owned WRNB-FM and is well-known in Philly radio & television and a noted voice on black music and culture.

"Dyana has a long-standing career in media, which makes her an invaluable member of the Radio One staff. Her wealth of knowledge and experience continues to serve us well," stated Corporate VP/Programming Colby Tyner. Her show will be a daily delight for the people of Philadelphia and continue the great momentum of Classix."

Williams is currently a member of the board of the Recording Academy Philadelphia Chapter, following a two-year tenure as its president. She is the entertainment correspondent on Chasing News with Bill Spadea, which airs each Thursday on Fox 29 in Philadelphia, Fox 5 in New York City and WWOR-My9NJ, in New Jersey. She's been profiled in the New York Times, Huffington Post, Essence, VIBE, Black Enterprise, Ebony, Jet, Rolling Out, The Philadelphia Inquirer and The Philadelphia Tribune.
