Darren Smith Adds Nights on KOGO (Newsradio 600)/San Diego

Darren Smith joins KOGO-AM (Newsradio 600)/San Diego to host an evening show, reports Barrett Sports Media. Earlier this month, Smith joined iHeartMedia sister Sports KLSD-AM (XTRA 1360) as midday host and adds KOGO night duties from 7-midnight partnering with Jack Cronin on KOGO for one hour. The show debuted on Monday, August 19. Previously, he was with crosstown XPRS-AM (The Mighty 1090) until it went dark in April.
"What kind of show is this?, you might be thinking," Smith wrote on Twitter. "Whatever matters to people in San Diego is what we'll talk about. Local politics, scooters, craft beer and everything in between - if it's interesting, we want to talk about it."
"One thing it's not going to be is ideologically driven. Plenty of that out there, if that's what you're looking for. We will offer opinions but mostly steer clear of the political mosh pit," added Smith.
