KROX-FM (101X)/Austin Music Director and afternoon talent Toby Ryan exits the Alternative outlet after 23 years with the former Emmis station, now owned by Waterloo Media. His former 2-7pm shift will now be held by co-owned Classic Rock KLBJ-FM night personality CJ Morgan. He also serves as Waterloo Media's social media talent.

In a post on Facebook, Ryan wrote, "After almost 24 years of being on the Austin airwaves, I will be no more. I was relieved of my duties yesterday. It was not my choice. I was simply told, 'New ownership wants to go in a different direction.' So be it. Always thought I would have something insightful to say. I don't. Just trying to process it all. Radio has been my life since I moved to Austin in '95. It's all I know. Life will go on. Thanks for the good times Austin, TX. Maybe I will see you out there."
