Howard University's Urban AC WHUR-FM (96.3)/Washington, DC names Autumn Joi (pictured) to middays and John Monds to host the "Quiet Storm" in evenings. Most recently Joi handled middays at Radio One's Urban WQOK-FM (K97.5)/Raleigh. Monds previously worked for crosstown Radio One's Urban AC WMMJ-FM (Majic 102.3/92.7) hosting "Love and R&B With John Monds" from 7pm-midnight.

GM Sean Plater said, "WHUR stands on a long rich legacy of delivering broadcast excellence and we are elated to have John Monds and Autumn Joi with us as we begin to mark our 50th Anniversary."

PD Al Payne added, "Our core mission is to entertain and inform. The addition of Autumn and John to our already wildly popular stellar team of radio personalities, led by the award-winning "Steve Harvey Morning Show" from 6-10am ET, is guaranteed to keep the DMV engaged and in the know."

Joi said, "I started my radio career in Washington, DC over 10 years ago and to be coming back home to the top station in the market is literally a dream come true."

Monds commented, "I'm so excited to be back at WHUR and a part of the team to lead the "Quiet Storm" back to its rightful #1 place,"
